Welcome to the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies, a multi-disciplinary research centre dedicated to the study of Israel in all its facets. Created in 2011, the Institute brings together faculty, researchers and students who share a common passion and dedication to the study of Israel across many fields, including archaeology, history, religion, political science, economics, art, literature, anthropology and sociology.

Housed in Concordia University’s Faculty of Arts and Science, the Institute:

• fosters and supports graduate studies, faculty based research projects and exchange programs by providing funding for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty;
• is developing an undergraduate Minor in Israel Studies;
• strives to actively engage the local, national, and international communities through regular public lectures and conferences.
